The problem is asking me to simplify. I dont get it though.

Answer provided by our tutors

The problem I am looking at is "i^303", which is the imaginary number "-1" raised to the 303 power.  Any even number for 'i' will equal 1 but any odd number raised to 'i' will simply retain 'i'.  So a simplified answer would be 'i' and would not become '-1'.

Our focus is working on algebraic manipulations and simply raising 'i' to a power of 303 is simply unusual.
