On the home work it showed that this is the correct process can you please explain why it is different from what I see on your panel.

x=6

9 > 2 (6) - 4

9 > 8

Answer provided by our tutors

After solving the equation:

9=2x-4

you get

x = 6.5

Now, you want to graph the solution, and you want to see if "6" belongs to the solution.

You do this by plugging the value "x = 6" into "9>2x-4" and you get:

9 > 2*6 - 8

9 > 8 and this is correct, so "6" belong to the solution interval (-~, 6.5)
