Don't understand how you get 12xy

Clicking on a particular solution step helps you quickly identify the logic which is employed.  When (6x-y) is squared, then '6xy' and 'y6x' are added together, giving 2*6xy (since y6x and 6xy are the same), which of course then is 12xy.  Since the 'y' term is negative, that final term is '-12xy'.
