Hi! Our class just started tackling a new lesson in algebra about how to solve equation with a calculator and I did pretty good for most homeworks we had but the latest one my teacher gave complex so I'd appreciate if somebody would assist me to understand it! It’s a problem solving homework my math teacher gave out this day and it’s due next week and I tried solving it but to no avail. I can’t finish it easily unlike the other assignments. I had an easy time solving my past assignments but this particular assignment with specific topic of simplifying expressions just gives me a hard time just figuring out how to begin. I’m desperately in need of help. I’ll really be grateful if somebody help me in explaining the steps and how to solve it in a organized and clear way.

Thanks for the detailed information, this sounds awesome. I wished for something just like Algebrator, because I don't want a program which only solves the exercise and gives the final result, I want something that can really show me how the exercise has to be solved. That way I can understand it and after that solve it on my own, not just copy the results. Where can I find the program?

Algebrator is the program that I have used through several math classes - Intermediate algebra, Intermediate algebra and Algebra 2. It is a really a great piece of algebra software. I remember of going through problems with geometry, trigonometry and slope. I would simply type in a problem homework, click on Solve – and step by step solution to my math homework.
